You may be wondering
Who can use the Kiosk?
Kiosks are available for patients who receive a prescription during their in-person appointment at participating One Medical clinics in the Los Angeles area.
Which medications can I pick up from a Kiosk?
Kiosks can contain many commonly prescribed drugs, but they do not contain all medications. Kiosks do not contain controlled substances such as Adderall, medications requiring refrigeration such as Wegovy, needles, except for Epipens, and certain other medications. Ask your provider if the medication you are being prescribed is available in the Kiosk.
How is patient privacy protected?
Amazon Pharmacy takes your privacy seriously and protects your health data with industry-standard security measures. Your personal and medical information remains protected at all times. Personal information is not displayed on the Kiosk and you can pick up a handset at the Kiosk for added privacy when speaking with a pharmacist. You also have the option to ask our pharmacists questions away from the Kiosk via phone.
Do Kiosk medications work with insurance, my FSA, coupons, or other Prime benefits?
Yes. Just like home delivery, you can use your insurance, and other Prime benefits to pay for your medication.
How do the Kiosks work?
Medications are securely stored within a vault inside the Kiosk. When you scan the associated QR code, your identity is verified within Amazon Pharmacy systems. A robotic arm within the Kiosk picks the medication and labels it with the relevant prescription information. A pharmacist from Amazon Pharmacy oversees the prescription, reviewing relevant medical history and other prescriptions, and is available to answer any questions you may have. You sign a consent stating you agree to receive medication from the Kiosk, and then a bay door opens and your medication will be available for you to pick up, along with any relevant medical literature.
How much does it cost to use a Kiosk?
There are no additional costs to use the Kiosk. You pay for your medication, the same as you would through a traditional or online pharmacy.
What if I opt to send my medication to the Kiosk but I do not pick it up?
Your Kiosk order will be available for you to pick up from the time the order is placed until the close of business the next business day. If you do not pick up your medication from the Kiosk by the close of business the next business day, your order will be canceled and you will be refunded. You will need to place a new order to receive your medication.
Can I use RxPass at the Kiosk?
Rx Pass is not currently available in the state of California, so it’s not yet available for Kiosk use.
How do I get help if I have difficulty using the Kiosk?
You can tap the “Call Pharmacist” button on the Kiosk screen to speak directly with a pharmacist. You can also call 833.844.6977 to get support from Amazon Pharmacy.
