Amazon Pharmacy is a participating pharmacy in the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program. We process Bridge claims, support the prior authorization process, and deliver covered medications directly to your door. Here's what you need to know:
What is the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program?
Starting July 1, 2026, Medicare is offering a temporary program that lets eligible Medicare Part D members get certain weight loss medications for a flat $50/month. The program runs through December 31, 2027.
What medications are covered?
Wegovy, Zepbound KwikPen, and Foundayo — for weight loss only. Ozempic and Mounjaro are not included. Only 28- or 30-day supplies are covered; 90-day supplies and pen needles are not available under this program.
Am I eligible?
You may be eligible if you are a Medicare Part D member and your provider prescribes a covered GLP-1 medication for weight loss. You are NOT eligible if you have a diagnosis (such as Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnea, or liver disease) that makes your GLP-1 coverable under your existing Part D plan — even if your plan didn't actually cover it.
My Part D copay is more than $50. Can I use Bridge instead?
No. If your Part D plan covers your GLP-1, you are not eligible for Bridge regardless of your copay amount. The program is only for weight loss use where Part D does not provide coverage.
Will I need a prior authorization?
Yes. Your first fill requires a prior authorization from your provider, which is typically approved or denied within 72 hours. If you switch medications (e.g., from Wegovy to Zepbound), a new PA is required. Dose changes within the same drug do not require a new one.
Does the $50 count toward my deductible or out-of-pocket cap?
No. The Bridge program is separate from your regular Part D coverage. The $50 copay does not count toward your deductible or annual out-of-pocket maximum.
How do I get started using the Bridge program with Amazon Pharmacy?
Add the Bridge plan to your Amazon Pharmacy insurance profile using:

• Member ID: Your Medicare number (from your red, white, and blue Medicare card)

Click to locate your insurance profile, or go to Menu / Settings / Insurance Plans & Coupons / Add Insurance or Coupon.

Once added, we will automatically attempt to bill Bridge on eligible fills. You can also call us at 855-745-5725 for help getting set up.
Can I get a 90-day supply?
No. The Bridge program only covers 28- or 30-day supplies.
